This role is customer facing and excellent customer service skills are paramount.

You will be required to take a daily trolley service, with items from the cafe, around the Civic Offices. The daily snack trolley plays a significant role in keeping PCC staff 'topped up' with snacks and drinks from the staff café. We are looking for a new trolley assistant who is extremely customer focussed. You will make sure that customers experience a friendly, upbeat and cheerful service. This will involve loading the catering trolley on a daily basis with a selection of products sold in The View cafe, Civic offices. This is a physically demanding role and the laden trolley is very heavy and there multiple floors and wings to the building. You will represent The View and all that it stands for during your daily service, making recommendations to customers and upselling the products to maximise daily takings.

You will need to use a mobile cash box. You will be numerate and be able to add several prices together swiftly.

An important part of this job role will be the use of an espresso machine to prepare and professionally deliver a range of barista offered hot drinks, as you may also be involved in the preparation of hand-crafted espresso based drinks to meet the needs of every individual customers order. The preparation of customer food orders, which can be very busy at lunch times. The operation of a touch screen cash till, cash handling, clearing away and cleaning of dirty crockery, equipment etc. End of day cleaning of all stations is required.
