The European division of a privately owned, US HQd business is currently experiencing significant growth both in terms of top line turnover and European territory.
The role requires an ambitious individual with strong technical and IT skills willing to get involved in the detail but also to step back and take a strategic view of the business and work with the senior management team to drive further growth. Comfort with system design and installing best practice processes are crucial to the role to allow the finance function to grow and support the business as it seeks to increase its presence across Europe.
This role will take ownership of:
The European finance function
Management accounts, statutory accounts and all regulatory filing
The P&L including departmental reporting and variance analysis
Systems development work including migration from Sage to Oracle and introduction of new billing process
The billing function including managing of finance aspect of customer relationships (both existing and new business)
Supply of financial support for new contracts
This represents an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with experience of working within a fast growing environment and will need effective communication skills and the gravitas and to work as part of European management team shaping and implementing company strategy.
