Our client is an award winning manufacturer based in Hampshire; they operate in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry. Due to steady expansion business they are currently recruiting for a Senior Development Engineer to join their team.

 

The salary for this role is dependant on experience but would be circa £45k with area for movement for the right person.

 

Requirements for the role:

 

You will need to have new product development / design experience within a medical/pharmaceutical environment - ideally manufacturing

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement

Experience in high precision manufacturing environment

Strong Project management skills

Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem solving skills

Strong communication skills and able to communicate at all levels

Computer literate, familiar in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

Degree in physics, mechanical engineering or similar discipline

Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar drawing package

Valid passport and willingness to travel (UK and Europe)

Full driving licence due to location and travel to clients or supplies

 

Main Duties:

 

Developing and introducing new products and processes into manufacturing

Diagnosing process and equipment weaknesses and implementing improvements improve

Liaising with customers, vendors and outside technical resources

Helping to train production and technical staff in the use of any new equipment

Managing process and product development initiatives

Identifying new methods and improve existing methods and techniques

Design experiments, data analysis and reporting

Managing trials involving within manufacturing, R&D and QA departments

Technical reporting and validation protocols and reports
