1st / 2nd Line Service Desk Technician required to join a very well established Southampton based organisation. the IT Service Desk Technician will be required to support internal users with all 1st and 2nd line IT support related queries, taking responsibility for IT Incident and request management as well as delivering new services via focussed projects.
The suitable Service Desk Technician will have previous experience of:
- resolving incidents and requests at first point of contact, where possible
- contacting, liaising with and managing incidents with 3rd party support vendors where required
- Installing, configuring and maintaining client equipment, including desktops, laptops, thin clients, tablets, printers and all other associated devices.
The ideal candidate will have good working knowledge and experience of:
- Microsoft Window operating systems: XP, 7; 8
- Active Directory
- Microsoft Exchange Mailbox Management
- Microsoft Office: 2007; 2010; 2013; 365
- Internal IP Telephony Systems
- OS and Software distribution tools (including SCCM)
- Apple Mac OSX
- Oracle User Administration
- Microsoft SharePoint Administration
- ASvaya PBX Administration
To include other duties (pertaining to the job spec) to be carried out as directed by the client.
