We are working with an international, mechanical biased manufacturer supplying the aviation industry to recruit an Inspector to work with mechanical assemblies. You will be joining a friendly, professional company who value their employees and have a great working environment.

 

This role is 2 year (minimum) Fixed Term contract working directly for the company so will be eligible for their benefits including flexible workings hours, shopping discount schemes, 25 days holiday, contributory pension scheme, free parking, subsidised canteen, and child care vouchers.

The standard week is 37 hours, there may be an option of moving onto a double day shift pattern once fully trained. They actively promote from within and encourage people to apply for roles internally.

 

Requirements… Experience within a mechanical biased manufacturing/production environment Apprenticeship served (or equivalent) Demonstrable experience within quality inspection ideally within an aviation, aerospace, precision engineering environment Knowledge of PCDMIS

Knowledge of FAI would be and advantage

Experience using manual inspection equipment and You will ideally be relatively flexible with regards to working hours and happy to contribute occasionally to overtime.

They like to hire ethical and conscientious team players, this role will also require someone to be decisive with excellent attention to detail.

 

The role…

 

Inspecting mechanical components and products Certify release of assembled units as signatory

Ensure documentation/routings are completed and processed Use SAP to track routings, data entry and produce certificate of conformity

Input, record and analyse data from various sources including self-inspection, databases, SAP, use of Microsoft. Actively contribute to business objectives and continuous improvement philosophies and opportunities

Ensure product meet customer requirements

Inspecting parts and assemblies to drawings, documentation, routings, industry standards

Using a variety of manual equipment including verniers, micrometers, CMM, etc Program, set up and operate CMM's

Coach, train and assist others in the use of inspection equipment
