We are working with a long established, worldwide company to recruit a Graduate Mechanical biased Engineer to work at their site near Fareham.

 

Although the successful graduate will have exposure to other areas of the business, this role will eventually be based in their Applicants department, working on the Energy side of the business. People who are passionate and self-motivated excel at our client, and many of their graduates and apprentices have gone onto become senior engineers within the business. The salary for this role is up to £24'000 per annum plus excellent benefits which include 25 Days holiday, Flexible Working hours, Childcare vouchers, Pension Scheme and Free Parking.

 

The role…

 

Responsible for all aspects of product design from interpretation of customer specification through conception to manufacture and installation

Analyse customer requirements and prepare technical proposals, specifications and drawings for tender

Help analyse products to ensure integrity of design and performance specifications are met

Establish project milestones and ensure deadlines are achieved, communicate status to relevant parties

Provide technical support to sales internally and externally at the customers' site

Communicating with Sales Engineers/ Account Managers, Customers, Manufacturing/ Quality and Purchasing Teams, Subcontractors, etc.

Requirements

Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Knowledge of fluid mechanics and pressure systems

Excellent communication skills, you will be dealing with Project Managers, Customers and Design Engineers on a regular basis so you must be comfortable with this

Some experience of mechanical design (AutoCAD or Inventor would be a benefit but training can be provided)

Good work ethic, comfortable working within a team of multi-disciplined personnel

Strong computer skills including Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

You will ideally live in a commutable distance or be committed to relocating There may be some travel in the future to customer sites
