Compliance Analyst, Hampshire. C£30,000 plus excellent benefits.

To work with, and provide guidance to, managers and staff in relation to a wide range of compliance matters, responding to ad hoc queries and attending all relevant business meetings.
To maintain, to an appropriate standard, the Compliance breach log by acting as a key point of contact with the business, liaising with managers and staff within the business to assess the level of impact of the potential breach, agree an appropriate response to mitigate the breach and ensure that all relevant managers are informed of the action.
Where necessary, concerns will be raised with the Compliance Policy Advisor and Compliance Manager with recommendations for a future course of action, for example on whether the regulator needs to be notified.
To understand and provide timely support to the Head of Compliance, Compliance Manager or Compliance Policy Advisor with the interpretation of Data, complaint MI, claims MI and FOS outcome information.
To provide advice, guidance and direction on all data protection matters to staff and ensure organisational compliance, and conformance with the Data Protection Principles. This will include maintaining processes for requests for information by policyholders, employees and third parties.
To maintain an awareness and understanding of current and forthcoming regulatory requirements applicable to the business.
To be the lead on projects where designated by the Head of Compliance or Compliance Manager.
These will include, for example, acting as the Compliance point of contact for short to medium term new product development projects and providing regulatory advice to the project team to ensure the new product is fit for purpose and meets all regulatory requirements.

Skills/experience required;
Financial services experience, preferably within general insurance sales and service.
Detailed knowledge and awareness of UK regulation and legislation, and an ability to interpret FCA regulations.
Proven experience in a Compliance or Internal Audit function, including planning and undertaking audits and risk-based reviews.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff: Good written communication skills, fluent and confident in spoken and written communication. Persuasive and convincing with arguments.
Good listening and analytical skills, to compare and report on business practice against regulatory requirements.
