We are working with a well-established manufacturer based in the Fareham area predominately supplying the marine industry to find someone to join their repairs/warranty team to carry our repairs and reworking of marine based products. 

What will you get of it?

This is a 12 month fixed term contract for a Service Technician, although there could be a possibility of extension depending on work load, but will be at least 12 months. The salary is circa £20000 to £25000 per annum plus 25 days' holiday, flexible working hours, child care vouchers, free onsite parking and joining a friendly team to work on interesting products in a modern working environment.

They are willing to train someone who has recently completed a HNC/HND or degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering so this could be an amazing opportunity for you to gain work experience in a large, reputable company and learn from experienced engineers/technicians, getting your career off to an amazing start!

This could also suit someone who has experience working for an electrical or electronics biased manufacturer where you will be able to expand on your knowledge of marine products and use your experience of reworking/repairing a variety of mechanical, electrical and electronics products. And for anyone who has an interest or passion for anything marine or sailing orientate…this will be right up your street.

So what will you be doing?

• Fault finding, testing and detecting products issues
• Repairing and reworking a wide variety of mechanical, electrical and electronics products
• Ensure faulty products are repaired in a timely manner to the highest standard possible
• Ensure appropriate tests are carried out according to company processes
• Notify any product defects that have not already been identified
• Learning from experienced engineers to expand your knowledge and experience!
