We are looking for someone who is looking to move into a more senior position and grow their people management skills. This position would oversee 6 experienced Quality Inspectors and give you a chance to really make your mark, there are lots of opportunities to improve efficiencies and this would be one of your main tasks. This role is heavily focused on Continuous Improvement and changing culture. You will be well supported by the Quality Manager but you will be able to work autonomously and your work will make a real difference to the company. You will be improving processes, overseeing that parts are conforming to client/company standards, changing cultures and determining root cause of non-conformances. As Quality Control Team Leader, you would work with the Quality Manager to improve quality standards and streamline processes. What are they looking for? This could suit a Senior Inspector role or a Quality Engineer with 5-10 years' experience in Quality within manufacturing, you will also need some exposure to or knowledge of the Aerospace /Aviation industry and be aware of some the processes and standards associated with this. Some supervisory experience would be helpful but this isn't essential if you have a solid enough quality background and the right key attributes. You will need to have experience within a mechanical manufacturing / engineering environment. You will also need a qualification in a related discipline, for example an apprenticeship, HNC / HND etc. Some knowledge of first article inspection, reporting, and quality/manufacturing processes is essential to be able to carry out CI projects. Someone who is self-motivated and passionate with strong communication skills would be very successful in this role, as well as having excellent people skills, a diplomatic nature and able to build strong working relationships.
