We are looking for an experienced Marketing professional with expertise in the Nuclear industry. The present incumbent is retiring after a successful career so this is a rare opportunity to take on a new challenge in company where you will play a vital role in a successful, thriving business.

This a key senior role within the company, you will get to work with some amazingly talented people in a role which can offer you autonomy, an interesting and varied role dealing with complex products. You will of course be driven by growth and you will enjoy achieving and increasing profitable and sustainable sales the nuclear services market.

The Marketing Manager is responsible for defining and managing a strategy for their nuclear business, agreeing literature, press releases, exhibitions and conference presentations to enhance the company's reputation and of course increase lead generation. You will get to flex your strong people management skills, leading a team of Sales personnel and Applications Engineers to generate opportunities and produce proposals. You would also work with Production to support deliveries and resolve commercial issues that may arise.

What are they looking for?

Due to the technical nature of their products, it is vital you have an understanding of the Nuclear industry, specifically Nuclear processes involved in some of the following: Fuels Production, Power Generation, Waste Treatment, Waste Storage and Reprocessing.

They are a mechanical biased manufacturer so an Engineering qualification is essential, ideally Mechanical Engineering - a broad understanding of principles within mechanical engineering and business administration would really help you in your role.

They are looking for someone with a track record creating technical strategies and guiding new product development, ensuring the business remains at the forefront of nuclear technology. Knowledge of Commercial/contract law would also be needed for the role.

As it is a Senior role, this would suit someone with around 10 yrs experience (or more) in Marketing within nuclear decommissioning or nuclear power generation, and a track record delivering sales growth and experience of negotiating high value equipment supply contracts.

Someone who is self-motivated and passionate with strong communication skills are a given for any Marketing Manager. There will be regular travelling (up to 50%) so you'll need an EU driving licence. You will spend a lot of time in Europe as well as selling into Asia - any languages would be a bonus!
