We are looking for someone who has the skills to manage and motivate a successful production team, with the drive and passion to develop and set up a new manufacturing unit and production process. You would be working for a rapidly growing business in Totton who are family owned, employing a large number of people.

They mostly supply in to healthcare and medical industries so an interest in this area would be a good start. They need someone with a penchant for problem solving, someone who is decisive and react quickly. You would be able to flex your people management skills by mentoring and developing your team, and build strong working relationships with colleague and other departments.

• experience in a mechanical manufacturing environment
• hands on engineering minded person
• strong computer skills with a working knowledge of Excel
• communication skills, good attitude to work and colleagues
• experience working with budgets and profit targets, commercially aware
• must have people management experience within production
• some knowledge of CADCAM would be great but can be trained
• track record implementing continuous improvement and process control techniques
• qualification / apprentice in an engineering discipline

This role was brought about due to growth, you would initially be looking after a smallish team but they are confident this will continue to grow so you'd be joining at a very exciting time!

Salary is £40000 per annum, parking on site, child care vouchers, Life assurance, pension scheme, 24 days' holiday. Based in Southampton.
