The School of Health Sciences and Social Work, University of Portsmouth, is expanding its healthcare education provision to meet the increased demand for qualified staff within the health sector. New courses in Adult Nursing and Optometry have recently been added to the existing broad provision.
The Faculty of Science is therefore looking to appoint new technicians to support this growing School. Experience of working within a clinical practice environment is essential as are practical technical skills. The post holder will assist with the preparation of materials for classes, including setting up and operating simulation systems, optical and other health related equipment. You will need strong customer service and interpersonal skills working closely with staff and students at all levels.
Qualifications required are a minimum of 5 GCSE passes at grades A-C including Mathematics, Science and English.
