Salary: £39,598 (includes market supplement payment)

We're looking for commercially minded Senior Accountants with the qualifications and experience needed to deliver a full range of high quality financial management and accountancy services to clients. You'll be helping this entrepreneurial council deliver on its promises to residents, from providing financial support and advice for major construction projects, such as the Hard Interchange and the Flood Defence Scheme, to undertaking complex financial modelling to support the implementation of the national school funding formula and expansion of the school estate.

Senior Accountants provide strategic and financial support in decision making, as well as ensuring the integrity of our financial systems and processes. You'll also be managing and motivating a small team.

The successful candidate will be CCAB qualified with 2 years post qualified experience, and have the ability to communicate and work effectively with partners. You will also have experience of budgetary control and financial management in a large and complex organisation.
