My client are well established Precision Engineering Company based in Swanwick, just outside of Southampton with easy access to the motorway and train station. They pride themselves on pushing their employees to achieve their best and expand upon their skills within a friendly and welcoming environment. Using the latest machinery, they manufacture a wide variety of small batch, high quality products for the Oil & Gas, Aviation and Motorsport industries.

The Role:

They are looking for an enthusiastic Miller/Turner to join their close knit team to produce consistent and High Quality Components. The role is a mix of programming and setting, as well as machine operation and in-process inspection.

You will have:

You will of course have experience in programming and setting machines using Fanuc/Heidenhain controls and be able to read engineering drawings. This role will require you to work to tight tolerances in short timeframes; perfect for someone who is really driven to deliver the goods. You will be a team player and an effective communicator as well as being able to work independently with little supervision. Ideally, you will have experience working within a Precision Engineering environment.

You will receive:

The standard working week is 45 hours with 5 hours paid as overtime (time and a half). In return for your hard work, you will receive a starting rate of £15 per hour, dependant on experience and active career development where the team will work with you to progress your skills and make you an even more accomplished engineer.
