My client are well established Precision Engineering Company based in Swanwick, just outside of Southampton with easy access to the motorway and train station. They pride themselves on pushing their employees to achieve their best and expand upon their skills within a friendly and welcoming environment. Using the latest machinery, they manufacture a wide variety of small batch, high quality products for the Oil & Gas, Aviation and Motorsport industries.

The Role:

They are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to ensure that all products meet customer required standards. As part of the Management team, you will maintain and develop the Quality System to ensure best practice is carried forward. You will be required to maintain accurate records and documentation to aid the continuous improvement and to demonstrate effective control of quality.

You will have:

Proven experience of QA and Inspection work within a subcontracting environment and have a proven track record of improving systems and procedures to ensure less material is wasted. You will have a working knowledge within a Precision Engineering environment and be competent at using a range of Quality tools; including hand measuring tools and CMM to inspect components. You will be used to working to tight tolerances and maintaining Quality related documentation with the ability to prioritise your workload and act decisively. Ideally you will be conversant with BS/ISO Documentation.

You will receive:

A salary starting at circa £35'000 within a friendly and welcoming team that will help develop your skills further. There will be further opportunities to increase pay based on performance and you will have the opportunity to work on a range of products.
