An accountancy practice based in Hove, East Sussex, are looking for a qualified and experienced accountant to join their growing team, in a very heavy weight role. The firm has a good reputation and having merged with a top 50 firm in the past few months, there is exciting change ahead!

This role works directly with the Brighton office's Managing Partner, being their 'right hand man' and taking over a lot of the day to day responsibilities and the running of the practice to free the Partner up to focus on growing the practice.

With the plan being to grow and expand this firm, joining now means you're going to be part of this expansion and an integral member of the existing team. Being the South Coast hub of a big firm is going to spell a lot of positive change for this firm over the next 18 months...

About you:

• Should be ACA/ACCA qualified
• Minimum of 5 years practice experience
• Confident preparing accounts, private client tax returns with some advisory experience
• Excellent communication and relationship skills, strong client relationships are absolutely essential to this firm
• Experience reviewing, training and delegating is key
• Ability to plan and self-manage workload
• Confident managing a team of staff, demonstrable experience is essential
• Accustomed to reporting directly to Partners/Directors
• On board with the growth vision and a confident networker
• An interest in the music/entertainment industry is desirable
• Strong technical knowledge
