We are looking for a versatile and experienced person who can combine their significant property/building experience with operational people management abilities. You will need the drive and enthusiasm to deliver excellence and be able to remain resilient and self-motivated to consistently deliver in a changing environment.

The post holder will be responsible for leading the property development, surveying and facilities teams at the University. Our estate portfolio includes a wide mix of building types ranging in age from the 1800s to the present day including a GBP 35 million Tech Park at our Bognor Regis Campus. The challenge is to maintain and develop the physical estate to meet the needs and expectations of our students and staff whilst retaining the unique character and charm of our historic campuses within ever challenging budgets.

The Property Services Division consists of three primary operational functions - property development and infrastructure, surveying and space, and facilities management. The role requires sound business acumen, creative business ideas and an extensive knowledge of property and related Health and Safety matters. The post holder will support the Director of Estate Management in leading the development and delivery of the estate strategy and master planning which will be the property focus of the role for the first year.

This is an active and "hands on" role and the post holder will be required to manage projects and services working effectively with a variety of teams up to and including the University's Vice Chancellor and Board of Governors. You must be professionally qualified in a building related discipline with significant experience in capital and property management with a customer focused approach to the successful delivery of Estate Management activities within a Higher Education setting.
