Do you have a background in Fresh produce working quality control? Experienced in hygiene, auditing and hazard analysis with knowledge of BCR?

A Quality Assurance Technician is required for a local well established business supplying large retailers working in a friendly, driven team.

What will you be doing?

• Responsibility for the safety, quality and legal requirements for fresh produce
• Advising on sourcing and improving quality
• Internal auditing, managing customer complaints, monitoring site standards
• Assessing and inspecting product at goods in, storage, grading and weighing, picking and packing.
• Testing finished products shelf life and benchmarking
• Assist with external audits or visits, including supporting hazard analysis, CCP and threat assessment CCP teams
• Identify opportunities to reduce wasted

What do you need?

• Background in quality control, ideally some qualifications
• Experience within the food industry, ideally fresh produce
• Experience of BCR
• Hygiene, auditing and hazard analysis experience
