Financial Controller

Gatwick, West Sussex

£45,000-60,000pa (depending on experience)

A highly successful manufacturing sector client is currently seeking a technically strong finance professional to join their organisation as Financial Controller. Several impressive years of growth and global expansion means that this individual will be joining at a very exciting time.

This position will report directly into the Finance Director as part of a medium sized team. This is a senior position within the finance function and would suit a committed, ambitious individual with excellent commercial acumen who's looking for a business which will support their professional development and progression. You will be expected to help lead and develop the more junior members of staff, and be responsible for preparing, developing and analysing financial information to help with the continued growth and profitability of the company. Key duties will include:

Duties:

• Month end reporting - p&l, balance sheet, cashflow
• Month end reporting - analysis - variance analysis, margins, cash availability, orderbook, stock and commentaries etc
• Liaising with stakeholders - bank, HMRC, auditors etc
• Preparation and completion of year-end financial statements
• Business partnering with other departments to offer finance solutions and analysis across the business
• Budgeting and forecasting, ensure spending is kept in line with the budget and contributing to medium and long-term business planning and forecasts
• Financial modelling
• Creating finance packs and compiling board reports
• Overseeing the accounts department and their function
• Offering insight and producing reports for external strategic decisions and business strategies
• Financial planning and analysis work by using data to offer financial insight

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified Accountant (Finalist level may be considered)
• A dynamic, driven individual who communicates professionally and confidently at all levels.
• A background within SME enterprises and evidence of good technical accounting abilities relating to the above.
• Strong Excel skills.
