The Aldingbourne Trust is a charity supporting adults with learning disabilities to live their lives independently.  We are seeking a Part-Time (16 hours) Housing Officer to join our friendly and busy team, situated in our housing office at Jasmine Lodge, Bognor Regis.

Our team of Housing Officers are dedicated to ensuring our tenants have suitable, safe, and well-maintained properties. We foster positive relationships amongst tenants and support them in adhering to their tenancy agreements. As a Housing Officer, you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals with autism, learning disabilities, and mental health needs to live safely and independently in their own homes.

You will be part of a team of four, responsible for supporting tenants across Bognor and the surrounding areas to maintain their tenancies. The team oversees all aspects of Housing and Property Management, ensuring tenants live in suitable, safe, and well‑maintained homes. You will promote positive neighbour relationships, encourage compliance with tenancy conditions, and take appropriate action where issues arise.

While the role includes some administrative responsibilities, such as maintaining accurate records and using Microsoft Word and Excel to support day‑to‑day tasks, these duties form part of a wider tenancy and property management function.

The role also requires the ability to manage multiple property-related workloads at the same time, demonstrating strong self‑organisation and multitasking skills. You must be confident in making decisions within your remit and communicating clearly with a range of stakeholders. This includes working collaboratively with our support service, external agencies, contractors, and landlords to ensure smooth service delivery and positive outcomes for tenants.
