The leading courier server City Link has recently taken on two brand new apprentices, who will start working for the team at the newly opened Southampton depot. The two boys were given jobs by City Link in a bid to promote national initiative.

This is a fantastic employment opportunity for the two young men. They will be provided with on the job training, as well as the chance to complete qualifications in the industry. This will inevitably help them both to take their first steps on the career ladder.

City Link are offering a Level 2 apprenticeship qualification in Warehousing and Distribution. As part of the scheme, the apprentices will be required to complete assignments, take part in job specific activities and attend classroom lessons. The training will take place over the next coming year, which will give the two young men ample amounts time to gain insight and experience. They have already tried their hand at office tasks, and are currently learning all about the warehouse and distribution elements to the company.
